What People Are Saying About Us
Patient Showcase
Name: Casey Cottrell Business/Occupation: Owner Daisy Mountain Painting Company
Dr. Wolf
Congratulations on receiving the Business Person of the Year Award with the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce at Anthem. How long have you been a painter?
Casey
I have been painting for over 23 years. I started painting when I took a summer job, with my uncle, to buy my first car. After that first summer, painting became my go-to summer job and then I started my own company, Daisy Mountain Painting in 1997.
Dr. Wolf
What makes your painting company unique and different from other painting companies?
Casey
We emphasize great customer service
All of our painters are employees of Daisy Mountain Painting and not subcontractors
We're licensed with the State of Arizona and we carry all proper insurance coverage.
We offer digital color imaging at our store front located in Anthem at 42407 N. Vision Way, Suite 104. This allows our customers to see the completed paint project before we start.
Dr. Wolf
What are biggest mistakes people make when hiring a painting company?
Casey
Mistakes that I see people make is shopping for the lowest price. Lower prices can cost you more in the long run! Make sure your painter is using good quality paint. Your contractor should provide you with a copy of a data sheet of paint materials to be used. Licensing is very important as well. Ask your painter for a copy of their insurance. The contractor should be able to provide you with a copy of their workers compensation and liability insurance certificate.
Dr. Wolf
How does a person who is looking for a painter go about finding the best painter for their next painting project?
Casey
Ask you local professional paint store, friends, HOA or the Better Business Bureau.
Dr. Wolf
You offer free estimates and you said you had a special offer to other patients of our practice. What is that special offer and how long is that offer good for?
Casey
We are offering your customers 5% off all paint jobs completed on or before 2/28/2012.
Dr. Wolf
What is the best way for people to contact you regarding their next painting project?
Compared to other dental offices you've been to, how would you describe your experience at Majestic Dentistry?
Casey
My experience with your services at Majestic Dentistry is great!!! From your professional staff down to the level of comfort when I receive dental work, you cannot be beat!!!

Vitamin D
A lack of Vitamin D, the nutrient most commonly ingested through fortified milk, and produced by your body with the assistance of the sun's rays, proves detrimental to optimum dental health. Vitamin D deficiency can affect both your teeth and gums
No Bones About It
There is a reason milk is fortified with Vitamin D: the calcium provided by milk requires Vitamin D for proper absorption in your body. Improper absorption of these two nutrients can lead to brittle teeth and bones, including your jaw bone. Brittle bones are more easily fractured.
Gum Disease
Studies to date have linked a lack of Vitamin D intake to increased inflammation in the human body. This swelling of the gums is a symptom of periodontal, or gum, disease. Periodontal disease is a bacterial infection that is known to cause harm to the jaw bone and teeth.
Cytokines and Inflammation
Gum disease causes an escalation in the production of cytokines, which are biological bodies that increase inflammation in your body. Vitamin D is able to suppress the production of cytokines, and therefore reduce the risk of periodontal disease.
Sunshine and Vitamin D
Healthy recommended doses of sunshine call for 10 to 15 minutes of "sun time" twice a week. This amount of sun exposure helps your body produce Vitamin D naturally. Follow your dermatologist's recommendation for applying sunscreen during this time period, as sunblocks will still allow enough of the UV rays to pass through to produce healthful amounts of Vitamin D.
Foods Containing Vitamin D
Foods known for their healthy doses of vitamin D include fortified milk and cereals, eggs, sardines, tuna fish and fish liver oils. You may also consider adding Vitamin D supplements to your diet. Be aware, however, that too much Vitamin D can lead to too much calcium in your body. Excessive amounts of Vitamin D can also cause increased urination and thirst.
Final Thoughts
On behalf of myself and everyone at Majestic Dentistry, we wish you and your family a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
